Since February 1,various social media accounts have been circulating a video of a Qatari man, Ghanem Al-Muftah, meeting Sheikh Maher Al-Moaikliin the Grand Mosque in Mecca on the same day he performed Umrah.
Ghanem Al-Muftah is quite famous in the Gulf region. He has been a Goodwill Ambassador of Reach Out to Asia — ROTA Foundations 2015. While he is a student of political science in a university, his goal is to become an ambassador in the future. Ghanem was born with a rare condition called Caudal Regression Syndrome (CDS), in which the patient is born without the lower half of the body. His condition never stopped him from achieving all that he has accomplished. He is the youngest Qatari entrepreneur, having founded and established Gharissa Ice Cream.
After verifying the circulating video clip, it turned out to be old and had already been uploaded on Ghanem’s personal YouTube channel on January 24, 2017. The caption with the video described his visit to Mecca, where he performed Umrah.
